NEXT GENERATION TECHNOLOGY…TODAY.

What does an energy efficient home of the future look like? We think it looks like an EcoShell. Fortunately for homeowners, and builders the technology is already here. An EcoShell home is created using a panelized building system. Our EcoShell panels are prefabricated offsite using recycled steel and an EPS composite foam material. The application of the panels creates a building envelope that is not only extremely energy efficient, but also strong, healthy, and cost effective as well.

BUILDING PERFECTION

An Energy & Environmental Innovation Company.

Insulsteel buildings are made of light gauge steel (LGS), EPS insulated panels, and cold formed steel (CSF) panelized trusses and interior walls.

The Insulsteel EcoShell is a highly insulated, airtight building enclosure that prevents outdoor pollutants from contaminating indoor air.

Our materials provide significant improvements over traditional lumbar and masonry block construction during high winds (up to 22o mph)  and seismic activity.

In the traditional construction process, 25% to 30% of building materials are wasted during construction. The cost of this waste is paid for by the homeowner. Insulsteel buildings are pre-constructed in the factory to exact specifications, eliminating on-site construction mistakes and waste.

Insulsteel ExoSkeleton™ utilizes Strucsoft™ software operating on a Revit™ platform that integrates seamlessly with architectural and engineering software. The software model is used to transfer structural data to the fabrication machinery operating system to produce precision studs and track at the rate of 2,000 linear feet per hour. Recycled steel components (interior walls, floor system, and roof trusses) are manufactured offsite at the new Insulsteel LGS factory in Charleston. The entire building system is panelized at the factory eliminating more than 50% of labor hours and virtually all construction waste.

EcoShell homes use high velocity HVAC systems that recycle air, micro-filtration and air exchange systems protect inhabitants from allergens, mold, and moisture. Our system also uses UV light filtration to kill airborne bacteria.

    Healthier Indoor Air Quality

Insulsteel buildings are pre-constructed in the factory to exact specifications, eliminating on-site construction mistakes and waste. In addition to no jobsite waste, extreme energy savings also lower the total cost of home ownership.
