“First and foremost, we have an extremely energy efficient building envelope; that starts with our Insulsteel panels that pick up from the foundation to the exterior walls up to the roof,” explains Steve Bostic, co-owner of Insulsteel. “The thing that really makes us work on a health-conscious level is that we have cut down on all of the airborne bacteria and airborne particulates that are in the air.”

The air system, which is also highly energy efficient, works diligently to provide residents with high – quality, comfortable, healthy air. The first portion of the two – part system is the ventilation. Every hour, on the hour, all new air circulates throughout the home. With the use of the Energy Recovery Ventilator, the new air flows in cleanly. Thanks to the Unico iSeries HVAC system, the air goes through a UV light chamber and a central filtration system to completely cleanse what passes through it. The resulting air quality is EPA approved and rivals that of what one might find in an operating room.
